I found the same bug while trying to install the latest kernel
3.11.0-031100-generic on Ubuntu 13.04 (x86_64) Mac mini late 2012 with a
BCM4331 wireless chipset. The issue seems to be number of changes
appeared in proc_fs.h in kernel-3.10.0 which moved from
create_proc_entry() to proc_create(). The

I found the same bug while trying to install the latest kernel
3.11.0-031100-generic on Ubuntu 13.04 (x86_64) late 2012 Mac mini which
runs bcm4331 chipset. The issue seems to be the kernel header changes
appeared in 3.10.0, as a result create_proc_entry function is no longer
in use and replaced by

Yes, in Precise, after a cold boot, the touchpad works only after
enabling it by Fn key.
But I must add that it is unstable. After a while, the touchpad stops
working, and it is not possible to re-enable it by Fn key. After reboot
it starts working again.
