two new Kdenlive projects. For convenience, I cloned the first project
in an early stage to be used as the starting point for the second
project. And then I noticed something concerning preview rendering...

I'm compiling Kdenlive, MLT, and ffmpeg from sources, basically
according to the instructions given in the Kdenlive wiki for compiling
on KF5/Kubuntu.
Note: I'm not installing into /usr/local but instead into a local inside
my home directory. I've set up $INSTALL_PREFIX to points

The git master has some terrible issues with moving clips. I've just
lost half an hour work; have backups though. Nevertheless it is no fun
to notice severe timeline corruption only quite some time later. I've

Breeze icon theme -- which I'm really happy with as it keeps distraction
down to a minimum. But the project bin still shows these fat blue
folders, sticking like a pointed stick in my eyes. (ouch) :)

there seems to be some really nasty problem with the current testing
ppa: I've seeing crashes in ffmpeg when thumbnails are to be generated
or when switching to the clip monitor. Anyone else experiencing these
issues?

The sudden crashes I asked for help with on Ubuntu 16.04 are actually
caused by a missing extra codec package. I've just found out by pure
coincidence.
So, please make sure to install libavcodec-ffmpeg-extra56 on Ubuntu

have been working on some more daytime projects, I still see timeline
corruption from time to time. It doesn't happen to me when I simply move a few
clips. But when moving something around 40, 50 clips, with transitions, and on
at least two tracks, then I still get duplicates. In three of my
