Hello everyone.
I'd like to suggest you to add a piano roll which uses synthesizers to
produce music.
Is this already planned?
If not, will this be added?
Big thanks if you do.

IIRC, the audio+video editor was Magix Music Maker 17, but now there's
separate video/audio products.

We don't have a better video editor than Kdenlive, but we have better DAWs
than Kdenlive (which is not a DAW).
There are great open-source music production programs around: Ardour, LMMS,
Musescore, Qtractor.
I don't think it'd be beneficial to make Kdenlive loose it's focus.
I've been working on

proper audio mixer (with an explicit master bus),
I'd second that; the lack of bus master means I can't drop the limiter
there and most of the time I end up exporting audio by-track to Ardour
and mixing there. Not a showstopper since there's a workaro
I'd like both, if possible.
The fact is that KDENlive could do this, so I think it would be a good idea.

Oh yeah, I miss a master bus a lot...
I managed to calibrate my levels so I don't get clipping, and I get sane
LUFS values for YouTube, but yeah... I'd love at least a hard-coded master
limiter that'd show gain reduction. Fast Lookahead Limiter LADSPA is pretty
good.

No, I made confusion.
In my idea, piano roll clips should be treated as sound, so effects are
applied to the output sound

I see. So you'd like MIDI clips on the timeline?
It's an interesting idea, but I think it's easier and more robust to use
exported audio from a DAW instead. This would increase complexity and
potential breakage.

Yes, MIDI in KDENlive.
Trust me, integrating this would make KDENlive better than ping-pong
between softwares

Do you want to make music with video in Kdenlive?
I used to export drum-only tracks to use the waveform as a temp grid for
cutting video - it's very helpful.
I made this track in LMMS, and created music video in Blender VSE:

I don't think you'll get decent result try
Yes, exactly.
Avoiding ping-ponging between apps should result in a better workflow

+1 and a way to meter R128 loudness across the master bus.

Yep! Great, let's hope to find more interested people
