Hi Tobias,
This looks interesting, but at the moment our Windows builds are done on
Linux, using MXE. So I don't know whether vcpkg can be of help.
There is some effort being put into building natively using Craft, but that
is not yet complete.

Hello,
I'm looking forward to an nighlty build system for windows of kdenlive. I
would like to point out a new packaging tool for C++ by Microsoft.
It's called vcpkg and you can find more information here:

Maybe it's an option to contribute the missing kde

In the last days, I had a look at Vincent's lastest progress on the Windows
port, and I am glad to announce that with a few tweaks, I am now able to
create a basically working Kdenlive version on Windows. There are probably
many bugs but you can already put a clip in the Project Bin

That is great news Vincent!
So good to see a light at the end of the tunnel in this journey.
Just a thought... would it be very difficult to compile the 16.12 release?
I am thinking maybe we can make a big announcement about this during the
16.12 launch. We can enjoy the opportunity to give more

It has taken so many months of (discontinuous) effort that it is already a
great relief.
Now starts the (maybe huge) debug effort.
For anyone interested, I've shared th

So having Kdenlive working on Windows would be a great step to help
people to leave the dark side of the force and get rid of Windows.
Best regards.
I can now imagine Kdenlive's brand claim:
Kdenlive/W: change to the light side of video editing!

Thank you, Vincent,
I am happy to have been given this chance.
I already started working on the Windows port, and I will compare between
using Emerge (natively on Windows) and MXE (cross compiling on Linux) to see
which method will suit us best.

Kdenlive port to Windows has been validated by KDE (thanks for sharing the
slots) & Google.
Joseph had already made this offer last year, but we were not ready on our
