OOO.. Agree with the window log...
And for example I hate notifications, sometimes they become a plague... a
window log would be nice..

I am using the latest 19.08.1 and I can see no "processing audio" message.
Also the final message disappears after a few seconds, so you can guess
that something happened if you remember the position of clips exactly - not
really usable with more than ten clips...
Re "no feedback means no error" -
I never see "processing audio" in the status bar. The only message I see
there during the whole process is "Audio analysis finished" after selecting
"Set Audio Reference".
andres, what version are you running?

Maybe I'm to used to linux style of: If work is done, no message needed...
If there is no 'processing audio' at the status bar, then is done.
If there is no alignment of the video, then it failed.

It's surprising to the user if a process is running in the background that
will alter the timeline once it completes, but gives no visual indication
that it is running. If you change to another workspace while this is
happening, how can you tell whether the process is still running, or
whether it h
Yes, it is running in the background, that is the reason why the GUI needs
a visual feedback about the current status of that process because the user
can not understand what is happening in the background. You can find this
pattern in many applications and it is good practice to implement this kin

The status bar does not show a process indication, it just give some
information when the process is completed. While the process is running I
do not see any kind visual feedback.
Do you first set the audio reference?
The audio reference task is done at background and at the status bar, left
bottom corner it says...
When you align the track, it moves... and you can clearly can see when it
moves.. and while doing the analysis, again there is the status bar at left
bottom...
This seems to be a bug: as I do not want to fiddle around with login
theater right now it would be great if anybody would like to add this to
the bugtracker:
The "Align to Audio" feature does not generate any kind of visual feedback
in the GUI - it is not possible to tell if it works, if it does no
