iris is also the name of Gallium-based OpenGL driver (still doesn't use LLVM ;)
for Intel Gen8+ GPUs (Broadwell and later).

I remember a similar issue on the lock screen some time ago -- but I
don't see it at the moment.
Have you looked whether there is a bug report upstream? This does not
seem like it should be
caused by our packaging.
