Time to give you some info about our plan for QT 4.5 and KDE 4.2.
A few weeks ago we tagged KDE_4_1 to begin the work on QT4.5 and
KDE 4.2. We now have a QT 4.5 preview version in the area51 tree

Sorry for opening a new thread for this, but it looks like I actually broke my
kmail with testing qt-4.5, therefore using webmail for now.
I get following build-error in qt4-moc:
g++ -fno-exceptions -Wl,-O1 -pthread -Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib/qt4
-Wl,-rpath,/usr/local/lib/qt4 -o ../../../bin/moc-
