I agree, there is something wrong with dbus. Sometimes an application just hangs (Konqueror mostly). When I try to do something else, like start a program with alt+f2, I get: "KLauncher could not be reached via D-Bus. Error when calling start_service_by_desktop_path: empty" The application start

I am experiencing so many performance problems, I dont even know where to start :( Certain things are almost always slow: - opening config dialog for any kde-app Other things slow down randomly: - application startup - menus - kmail in general - konqueror in general Also closing applications d

Has anybody else noticed weird slowdowns in KDE 4.1? Several of our users are reporting it, and I've seen it here as well. It seems like sometimes KDE will just take a LONG time to start processes, or startf programs. "top" doesn't show anything using CPU, so I know the systems aren't busy. A
