When I try any of the 3 Test buttons, it claims:
Error trying to play a test sound.
The system said: "No such driver"
dmesg shows three pcm devices:
dmesg|grep pcm pcm0: at nid 20 and 2
I can use beep -d /dev/dsp0 or /dev/dsp1 and hear a sound at the rear or
front audio jacks.
If I send the beep to /dev/dsp2, I hear nothing.
I believe there is missing magic in i915kms.ko that routes audio from
the video driver to the audio driver. Or perhaps I need a hint in
/boot/loader.co

I was reading about he upcoming kde 4.6 and I read about a change to palapeli.
So I tried running the current version. The application window has no menus
or anything. I tried rebuilding kdegames, now with -R to portupgrade.

My xmms wil still play a single .mp3, but when I try to add it to the
playlist, the playlist is garbled.
It may be a problem due to my update failing on avahi-app, and when I rebuilt
the ports, I used the list spewed by portupgrade. I may have used the list
backwards.

by devd (I have it in rc.conf, but it complains it's already running from
devd).
It doesn't appear in kopete settings.

On my system, Dolphin crashes and I'd like to be able to provide crash info.
I have added to /etc/make.conf:

WANT_QT_DEBUG=yes

I tried to use KSpread, but it appears to be suffering from migration blues. I

I'm running KDE4.3.4 on FreeBSD8-Stable.
I've noticed on several machines that when I click a button, nothing seems to
happen, so I move the mouse and things take off again. It's like it needs
interrupts to drive KDE. I noticed this some in past KDE3 versions as well.
What's up with that?

I'm using kdm on KDE 4.3.4 and FreeBSD 8-Stable.
On my mom's computer, when she logs out, the kdm login screen appears, but
then the screen goes black. I am able to log in again by blindly entering her
password again, and then I can shutdown instead of logging out.

I looked at /usr/local/kde4/bin/startkde4 (which is linked to startkde), and

I have a hyperthreaded machine and a duo-core, bot hexhibiting the same issue.
Each machine has two processors (or in the case of the HT machine, two
