I'm having a problem upgrading. Can you give me some guidance on why this

Can anyone give me any more guidance. I did a clean build of
kdelibs, kdepimlibs and still kdeadmin is trying to build by thinking
libkldap.so.5.0.1 is in /usr/local/lib rather than where it really is in

Yes, you can delete those, they look like some remainings from an old
installation. You might also want to check if there are other libk*.so's
around where they shouldn't.

The port is fine, the problem is on your side. You need to rebuild all ports
that depend on openldap after switching to different version:
portmaster -r net/openldap24-client
Thanks. I'm executing a recursive portupgrade on all ports that use
openldap now.

I'm having the exact same error I had last month when I had a long thread
about my inability to upgrade kdeadmin from 4.10.1 to 4.10.3. I got to the
root cause of it which was kdeadmin was dependant on openldap-client 2.3.
At the time I had 2.4 installed and it kept failing. Once I de-installed
2
No, how would I use it

kldap is part of the kdepimlibs ports. Can you try to rebuild those, too?
I rebuilt kdepimlibs and it compiled just fine

It looks like you have a problem with your ldap ports.
I rebuilt both ldap client and server and it still is failing to build. And
the library in question is the

make -C /usr/ports/sysutils/kdeadmin4 MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE=yes build

Here's the output

Hi,
I'm running into a problem trying to build the latest version of
kdepim4-runtime. I would be interested to know your thoughts.
