Thanks for response! This misbehaviour with charset is my fault, I forgot that KLocale::encoding() simply is QTextCodec::name() :( So I switched from KLocale::encoding() to nl_langinfo(CODESET) and new patch for it is attached to this mail. As for other volume filesystems including the mentioned
