Have you tried x11/gsynaptics? I use the command-line client synclient(1)
(x11-drivers/xf86-input-synaptics) with some mods to the driver and the X
server.

Try reinstalling deskutils/kdepimlibs4 first. It provides libkldap and
specifies its paths in
/usr/local/kde4/lib/cmake/KdepimLibs/KdepimLibsConfig.cmake.
