[kde-freebsd] KDE4 stalls often, requires mouse movement to proceed

I'm running KDE4.3.4 on FreeBSD8-Stable. I've noticed on several machines that when I click a button, nothing seems to happen, so I move the mouse and things take off again. It's like it needs interrupts to drive KDE. I noticed this some in past KDE3 versions as well. What's up with that? _

[kde-freebsd] Screen goes black after logout

I'm using kdm on KDE 4.3.4 and FreeBSD 8-Stable. On my mom's computer, when she logs out, the kdm login screen appears, but then the screen goes black. I am able to log in again by blindly entering her password again, and then I can shutdown instead of logging out. Her machine has a Matrox G550
