In the iconbar/dock at the bottom of the screen, if I hover the mouse over the
icon of a running app then a window appears immediately above with a thumbnail
grid of just

There are some packages with that in the name, but no single "fcitx5" package.

This appears to be related to Wayland.
If I login choosing X11 instead of Wayland from the login screen then the
combination of "Alt-Tab, keep Alt held down, click a thumbnail" works.
