Great, i didn't know that mine types could do that, as the tooltip doesn't
display that format. If imageMagick is a core component of digikam, then i

The reason to have icons instead of titles is, to improve ui navigation.
An image (icon) is recognizable in a fraction of a second, meanwhile text keeps
its up for more than a second, as text asks more attention

I checked out your screenshot, that is what I want too!!! XD
not sure if my platform (mac) does not allow the arrangement i want… I tried
hard to arrange tools as seen in your screenshot.
my dock is subdivided into 3 areas

i rebuild my dock, starting from 1 dock area, adding the slim toolbar column,
then adding another section at the very bottom, and yet another section on the
bottom
works for me too! great

My intention was to improve a common function, because *nobody* asks for it.
*the standard* of all measures is Photoshop for 2d related applications, which
is superstitious and disgusting.

This bug doesn't bother anymore in version 4 beta :)
I'm looking forward for a working open gl implementation as the work around
isn't effective enough. Don't like to hear my Mac like a racing car if my
