This whole folder $HOME/.local/share/plasma does not exist here with Mageia 8
(long time KDE - Plasma user). So it looks like each user (Checked more than
one) just uses the "default" in
/usr/sh

I cann't make a backup as yoou propose, since I cannot open it in kdenlive.
However, I still have a pecestier.kdenlive~ file from the last time I opened
that project wit the old version. You want it???

Bug 492920 let me suppose wayland is OK. Loggedd out of plasma session, logged
in with plasma wayland selected. No improvement, exactly same behavior.
