Wanted to add that I just discovered that when I right-click on the canvas, the
presets wheel comes up just fine, and then the cursor is visible everywhere -
but as soon as I close the wheel, I get one pixel of color and

Updating my drivers seems to have helped for the time being; if the bug
resurfaces I will e sure to report it.
