My plasmashell crashes seem to have stopped. All i've done today is
"KillUserProcesses=yes in /etc/systemd/logind.conf" and "sudo systemctl disable
--now lvm2-monitor" and rebooted.

I've also ex[rinced a full desktop after logging out and leaving the screen to
go into screen saver mode at the login prompt. The only way out is
Ctrl,Ctrl,Backspace and then reboot which clears things for
