Alright, I've discovered the issue.
To reproduce this issue -
1: Have the setting enabled "Remember Display Style for each folder"
2: Have the default view as "details" mode

Additionally, it properly overrides my previous settings when i switch to using
a shared view, so clearly it understands what I want my default to be.

I agree, this is not expected behavior. It doesn't say anywhere that it will
totally remove all previously set data. These folders are properly set if I use
the button in combination with other settings, but

I'm a little concerned how this issue is so hard to reproduce, as I am using
essentially stock KDE with stock Dolphin. I have done nothing special
whatsoever and I have only modified the settings listed in
