This issue stopped happening a while back, after I deleted one of the config
files (I don't remember exactly which, probably one of the plasma*rc).
It's unfortunate that plasma crashes due to a c

Still an issue with Ark 19.12.3 on Kubuntu 20.04.2.
Ark shows a notification saying "The archive is empty or Ark could not open its
content". A mount -o loop shows the content with no issue.

I haven't noticed this issue happening (or remembered it exists :-) ) in quite

When 5.8.4 or later is backported to Kubuntu 16.10, I'll install and test it.
They used to backport every point release, but nowadays it seems there are
large gaps in KDE backports.

I think it is indeed solved in 5.8.4. Although the panel does sometimes move
from one monitor to the other after returning from monitor power savings mode,
it no longer disappears completely nor moves to an

The theme is Breeze.
I think I did select to load debug symbols from the crash dialog - how should I
install whatever is missing?

How do I suspend/resume the compositor? under compositor settings I only see a

Everything you say about sync may be true.

The TV (HDMI1) should be synced.
It appears that suspending and resuming the compositor actually fixes the
problem (temporarily). Here's my full experiment (all tests are with VLC

I can see in both kscreen and xrandr that DP1 is primary. If I change it to
