I should add that the music is on an exfat filesystem. Not sure if that

I was able to inhibit locking just by starting Haruna (no media playing or even
paused).

The only work around I have found is to unplug the keyboard and then type on
the laptop keyboard itself. I seem to recall typing on the laptop keyboard
didn't work (nothing showing up) while the USB keyboar
