I exported from LR with tags. Using exiftool, copied DateTimeOriginal to
FileModifyDate. Imported to digiKam from a USB hard disk by creating auto
folder (Year/Year-Month-Day format).

KWin has nothing to do with font rendering. I recommend to logout, purge
kscreen settings (~/.local/share/kscreen, iirc), login, and reconfigure scaling

I'm able to reproduce this bug even with a regular mouse. It seems like the
switch desktop action is invoked per each wheel tick, which can be a lot!

I can also reproduce it with Thinkpad track point, which is similar to a mouse
wheel without ticks. Maybe it should detect wheel scroll distance instead of
number of ticks.
