The crash happens because the second "scale" actually scales into exactly the
same pixel size. So there might be some division-by-small-value or something.

Can you reproduce this bug when full screen repaints are forced?
In order to force full screen repaints, go to compositor setting and choose
"Full screen repaints" swap(tearing prevention) strategy.
