I know the appimage embed a newer Qt, and as I can reproduce in it, it might be

It does identify itself as a 'beta' as does the very recent Windows nightly
build, hence the 'confusion'.
The latest Windows nightly build is listed as an 'alpha' but self-identifies as

I found the culprit by resetting all my themes settings to Default Breeze and
re-enabling them one by one : it's the window decoration. If I change from
Breeze windeco to anything else, the bug occurs.
