I think I may have found the cause. Try running kazam, and start a recording.
Then try opening a new konsole. That konsole doesn't display correctly and
consequently plasma crashes.

This is the only thing in KDE/Plasma that would interfere with streams routing,

Ah, the show message structure is now in the Message menu, but not in the
context menu. Fair enough. I'm still missing all the other actions though in

This Behaviour has been reproduced with SUSE Leap 42.2 and KDRC 5.0
There is no possibility to get a refreshed screen. The disabling of desktop
effects does not work either.
In SUSE 13.2 and KDRC 5.0 it works as expected.
