It's because the distro chooses to ship software that is over two years old,
and users choose to use it. :) There are other distros out there that ship
software soon after it's released, rather than waiting years and

thanks for your reply. I´m wondering how a bug can remain in the distro
for so long. A newer release is not available, so I wait for it and use
the workaraound :-)
