This worked. After a crash and a restart, I can now control the mount
perfectly. Thanks a lot!
A drawback of the Mac are the few USB plugs. My experience with an USB Hub is

Ok then maybe something prevented the settings from getting set right when it
started up. Please go to Preferences, INDI, and check the boxes for it to use
the internal INDI drivers and INDI server. You can also go to XPlan

I did install from the DMG. Did not find any drivers…
Nor did the application
I tried home-brew because nothing else worked.
Just in case I did look at the wrong place, where are they supposed to be?

Did you try to build from source? If so, please use the DMG. All the INDI
drivers are embedded in the KStars app in the DMG along with instructions.
There is no need to install them in Homebrew.
