Use cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr
and it should work OK.

Oh I forgot to add which source - I was using the git download button, and then
repackaged it; 23.09.2017 is just middle europe dd.mm. notation - helps me
keep track when I checked out via git. I actually prefer tarb
