In KDE 4:
- krunner was ALWAYS available, there was NEVER delay before the window showed
up. NEVER swapped out.
- krunner displayed available results first, NEVER waiting for to finish.

By the way, 'type to search' in kickoff and 'application dashboard' plasmoid
