Given layers 1, 2, 3 with 3 being topmost, and 2 invisble, and the active layer
is 3:
* Corel Painter, Photoshop and GIMP merge 3 onto 1, skipping 2, which is on top
of the merged layer
* Autodesk Sketch warns the us
