I have noticed in using Krita that the "eye" icons showing visibility of
the layers are no-longer dimmed when the layer is invisible. Is this
relevant?

shown on Capture 3. Having looked in all the folders, I cannot find a

Ah, thanks. I think that the problem would be solved if you would reset Krita's
configuration. Krita 3 and Krita 4 share the same kritarc configuration file,

Well, if Krita is light-gray you must've chosen a different color theme. But
you do have the means to make a screenshot: Windows includes the Snipping Tool
for that purpose. The config file location is documented
