I'll just continue the project then with a .kra file then until needed. If the
issue happens again in the future, should I create a new report or respond to
this one. I have no idea when or if it will happen again.

I'm not sure what happened... When I take your psd file and save as tif, either
flattened or with layers, it saves fine. I loaded the images in Scribus, where
they displayed correctly. Gimp cannot load cmyk tif or
