The problem keeps the same though I see where the cursor is the painted lines
only appear once I click away from the canvas. I downloaded an older version of

That is really weird, because the cpu-based canvas should always work... Can
you try with some different cursor options?

I have samsung np540u3c with a Intel HD Graphics 3000 and seems to be on the
latest version 9.17.10.4229.
