Okay. I've got some good information for you.
1. I was able to finally totally disable CSC. I had to make some registry
changes:

There are indications that it could be a Qt bug. Can you test, that your drive
is not addressed under a drive letter, but via the UNC path, i.e. \\SERVER\.

There were only FIVE images in that folder when I did the import of
the image... It's not scanning for 6 minutes... it hangs for 6 minutes and
then does the scan.
