CTRL+mouse => zoom factor in indicated on right side of status bar.
It's enough fast here, in preview or image editor mode.

The mouse wheel CTRL+ is much slower and you intuitively don't know the current
zoom factor. That makes assessing image focus more complicated than necessary.
With the left mouse-click (LM) version you intuitively always
