Made a discovery, this issue seems to be x11 specific, on wayland it behaves
correctly

I tried on another machine of mine, on plasma 6.0, it happened there by
default, so could have been one of the common configurations I apply on a fresh
install each time, but then I tried making a new account as

Tested the latest KDE Neon live image, and can confirm that the double click

All files are copied to the destination folder, a folder named "other" is
created as well (not present in previous versions) and an error window pop up
