It seems that Unconfirmed faces are considered to be confirmed for the purposes
of the filter sidebar.

For me the UI remains responsive. I can change away from the current People tab
at any time without any lag.
I'm not sure I understand how the timer helps. For me, I think generating face

Yes, I group/separate the view by albums sometimes and it does help a bit.
I'd like to get to where I can Filter by Album and then Group By Face. Then I
could see all shots of (eg.) my kid
