Probably, the bug is in SDDM's side. Because it has a similar problem
initially: when SDDM shows up, the laptop's screen is attached by the upper
left corner to the upper left corner of external screen.

BTW, the icon appears for me if I go into "System Tray Widget Settings" and do
Hide -> Apply -> Show -> Apply with the plasma-pa item.
