Yes with default settings I will not see my phone, I have to choose
"non-removable devices" or "all devices" to see it as a "Portable Media
Player".

Removing the Skanliterc in SL7 fixes the broken colour image for me in SL7
(RHEL7).
If I then restart skanlite then I get the broken colour image preview again.
Looks like it has to be deleted every time.
