Ah that makes sense, and yeah running "apt -a list sddm" shows
"0.21.0-0zneon+24.04+noble+release+build3" as the installed package, as does my
package manager.

Removing "splash" from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT in /etc/grub has worked for
me. Setting the value to "quiet" or "" instead of the previous "quiet splash"

Unfortunately I am still having the issue, on the latest KDE Neon as of the
time of writing (6.2.3, 6.8.0). It's still inconsistent, sometimes not
happening, other times happening many times in a row.
