P.S. The https://github.com/pdfcpu/pdfcpu cli-util allows resetting the PDF
data and you'll see the file size return to 45KB:

Hi Vlad, ah, thanks for reminding me:
- On hibernation, the layout was just 1 monitor (laptop screen)
- On resume, the layout was 2 monitors (4K monitor at 150% scaling directly
above laptop screen - 1920x1080

Also, just had this exact same crash when connecting a new external monitor
(via usb-c) that didn't appear to be in a power saving state (I had just turned
it on).

Afraid I wasn't able to repro - tried twice, removing the button from the
toolbar re-adding - no luck. Also tried with an additional tab that I had open
at the time, no luck.
