Probably not the most appropriate place to ask, but is there a feature in
digiKam to set the file date of all photos in my collections to their
respective exiv date?
Oh, and if there's a way to have that date be set during import that'd help too!

Take a look at exiftool.
I use this to rename files to their CreateDate.

I know exiv2 can do it too (`exiv2 -T rename *`) but it would be more
convenient if digiKam could do the operation, with a little more control over
which files are touched and/or using additional information (like not touching
files I modified in dK).
