Personally I would prefer that virtual desktops were essentially
"firewalled" from each other (at least from the user's perspective),
as if they were running on another computer altogether. No
notifications, no automatic switching, nothing unless I specifically
tell the machine to do so.

I'm thinking about sticking with KDE Plasma 5.26 (or maybe one of the
KDE Plasma 5.25 releases) until I'm ready to move to wayland and
Plasma 6.
