Hi all, just tested with rev. 3835 on MacOSX. Issue is solved, i think. Creating a new layer and saving as shp gives a proper error message and advice to use "Edit> Extract> by Geometry Type". (I will not close the ticket as I am not sure that this is truly the intended behaviour) Thanks Micha
