thanks for the hint, indeed I tried a week ago to insert that code and to
modify it according to mouseLocationChange, but I didn't find a valid
solution. In these days I am out for job (untill May 19), I will give a
better look when I will be back home and have more time.

I lke the idea to have a raster info tool that display pixel values on
status bar while cursor moves on workbench. Unfortunately I still
