Hi Michael,
No, I didn't explain it somewhere.
Do you ask so I put some info on the wiki, or do you want to know?
Anyway,

mhm.. I think AffineTransform replaced AffineTransformation in JUMP???
So to avoid confusion... But we could rename one to Affine
Transformation with Parameters (pretty long name)

Hi,
There are two different plugins called
AffineTransform
AffineTransformation
one is supposed to do a transformation defined by vectors drawn by the user
the other is supposed to do an affine transformation from translation
and rotation parameters
First one is visible but not active
Second is
Hi Stefan
Did you explain somewhere how default-plugin initialization is done.
After a short investigation, I did not find how and where the plugin
initialization is done now.
Thanks

Sure thing.
I just know the image support from JUMP 1.2 caused me some problems. I
haven't tired the Pirol stuff just yet.

Sure. I can help you with the final form submittals, so your August
travel plans shouldn't be a problem.
First we've got to find a student, then we have to get accepted. :]

Hei Landon,
yes I can be/want to be a mentor.
However, there is small(?) issue: I plan to travel in August through
Canada (the whole month) - so I am not sure yet how I would handle the
submission of the final evaluation forms by mid of August. I could
prepare them but then there is the issue o
@Jukka, thank you for testing. I also noticed the antialiasing effect.
I discoverd the pixel shift by saving a vector graphics (with OpenJUMP)
as image, and then did load this images with both options. Would be good
to hear if you don't see a shift with "real" image data (if that would

Hi,
I made a quick test with one topographic map in png format. I am not sure if I
saw offset, but sure images look a bit different. In this case the native
system seems to make some antialiasing while Add-Sextante-Raster-Image doesn't.
I will do some further tests later.

Stefan,
I'm not sure why you would be getting a 1 or 2 pixel offset. I'm
wondering when it would be worthwhile to tackle comprehensive support
for rasters in OpenJUMP. It seems like we are always trying to get
some raster plug-in form a third party to work well in OJ. :]
Just thinking out loud...
I put up an idea list for the 2009 Google Summer of Code here:
http://openjump.org/wiki/show/Google+Summer+Of+Code+Ideas+List
Stefan added several good ideas of his own. Please review the list and
feel free to add items to the list if you don't see something there
that should be.
