For the next release I plan to implement an option for bbcode, but
probably not wiki notation. Only because with wiki notation, there is
often no open/close syntax, but more a series of characters preceding
the text.

Excellent work, Brian! Looks and works great in FF 2 Mac and Safari 2.
One thing that would be really nice is to have the insertion point
returned to the place in the textarea where it was before clicking a
button. This is especially helpful if nothing is selected when adding
a tag -- allow
