[jQuery] Superfish rollover images menu

Hello all, i am trying to setup the superfish menu and using rollover images (actually changing background images throught the css file). for some reason after tweaking the original css file to display the menu the way i like it, IE refuses to show the menu images. if shows only the ":hover" state

Hello, i am using superfish in Joomla and i am trying to create a menu that uses image links for the first level and simple text for the other levels (the sub-menus), i have been trying to figure out how to do this but so far no real success. does anyone has any idea about this? thanks.
