Run Build Step on SVN modified files

I'm having difficulties trying to reference the checked out files in a build step. I can get the workspace using that environment variable but I want to run a build step only on those files that are "new." Example: Jenkins run SVN Update trunk\images\507959212.jpg is created in workspace Run b
