MD5/SHA1 of new release JARs?

I prefer to install Jenkins on Unix machines from the package manager for the specific operating system so that the package manager will simplify upgrade and general package management. When I've done that on Debian, CentOS, and Red Hat, it has not required a GUI environment. When my Jenkins jobs
